Who we are
Squish Files is a free online file compression and conversion tool available at squishfiles.com. It is operated as an independent website.
File processing
All file operations on Squish Files — including PDF compression, image compression, format conversion, PDF merging, and ZIP creation — are performed entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Specifically:
- Your files are never uploaded to any server
- Your files are never transmitted over the internet
- Your files are never stored, logged, or retained in any way
- No file data ever leaves your device
The processing libraries (PDF.js, pdf-lib, and JSZip) are loaded from public CDN servers as code — your file content is never sent to those services.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal details to use Squish Files.
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard server access logs including IP addresses and browser information. This data is handled according to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies
Squish Files itself does not set any cookies. However, third-party services on the page — including Google AdSense — may set cookies on your device for the purpose of serving relevant advertisements. See the section below on advertising for more details.
Advertising
