Frequently asked questions
How do I crop an image for free?
Drop your image into the tool above, choose a preset aspect ratio (16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:2) or enter custom pixel dimensions, then click Crop Images. Your cropped file downloads instantly — no account needed.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All cropping happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your images never leave your device and are never sent to any server.
What aspect ratio presets are available?
Four presets: 16:9 (widescreen, great for YouTube thumbnails and presentations), 4:3 (standard monitors and photos), 1:1 (square, ideal for social media profiles), and 3:2 (classic photo print ratio). You can also enter fully custom dimensions.
Can I crop multiple images at once?
Yes. You can drop up to 30 images at a time (500MB total) and crop them all with the same aspect ratio or custom dimensions in a single batch.
How does custom cropping work?
In custom mode, set the X and Y offset (distance from the top-left corner) and the crop width and height in pixels. Leave width or height empty to use the full image dimension.
